The New Life Foundation (NZ) Trust was formed in 2006 after the inaugural Hebron Christian College mission trip to Tanzania in 2005. Hebron Christian College staff and parents wanted to sponsor children they had met in 2005 at the New Life Foundation Orphanage and School. A trust was established, a trust deed was written up, it was registered as a charity with the New Zealand Government and began to manage the sponsorship programme, manage the finances, develop a professional teacher development scholarships and encourage and support volunteers to work in the orphanage and school. Staff and parents were invited onto the Trust as trustees (see current trustees below)
